The Vaughan Citizen is published twice a week (Thursday and Sunday). It has a circulation of 48,000 serving Concord, Kleinburg, Maple and Woodbridge.

Launched in August 2001, the Vaughan Citizen serves the city’s rapidly growing and thriving community. The Citizen works in partnership with the Thornhill Liberal to provide news, community events and shopping information to the entire City of Vaughan.

Until 2000, Vaughan was covered by The Liberal. But it was decided the community deserved its own newspaper. The combination of Vaughan’s bustling business sector and the paper’s award-winning team made the Citizen a success.
