Vaughan in Motion For Cancer Care Medical Surgical Inpatient Unit
At the heart of Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital lies the Vaughan in Motion for Cancer Care Medical Surgical Inpatient Unit which helps patients recover faster and get home sooner. Located on Level 6 East, the unit houses 36 medical and surgical inpatient beds and features bright and spacious private and semi-private rooms; smart monitoring and treatment technologies and a rehabilitation therapy gym to build strength and independence and prepre patients for discharge.
Mackenzie Health is proud to become one of the first Canadian hospitals with a customized smart bedside tablet across both of its hospital sites. Planned and designed through the eyes of the patient, the integration of new, smart technology will empower patients to participate more fully in their health care journey and help keep patients safe and connected with loved ones.
The Inpatient room design, combined with exemplary, compassionate care, will allow patients to recover in the best healing environment possible.

Vaughan in Motion for Cancer Care is a 100% volunteer-staffed, registered charity dedicated to supporting our family and friends fighting cancer by funding a $1 Million Gift to the ‘Medical Surgical Inpatient Unit’ at the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital where patients recover from cancer surgeries with the latest SMART technology.
